With Eid getting closer, everyone is wondering about the update on the Eid holidays 2025 in Pakistan. As of now, the federal government has not issued any notification regarding the Eid holidays in Pakistan.
Usually, every year, the government announces Eid holidays in advance before the Shawwal moon sighting.
Eid holidays 2025 expected dates
This year, Eid is expected to fall on Monday, March 31, or Tuesday, April 1. So, whether the government announces it or not, many people will start their Eid holidays from, Sunday, March 30, but those with a five-day work week will enjoy the Eid holiday from Saturday, March 29.
If Eid falls on Monday, the Eid holidays will likely end on Wednesday, April 2, and if Eid falls on Tuesday, April 1, the Eid holidays will likely end on Thursday, April 3. People with a five-day work week can enjoy longer holidays if the government also announces a holiday on Friday, April 4. In any case, Pakistan’s citizens will likely enjoy at least four Eid holidays this year.
The final notification regarding Eid holidays will be issued by the Cabinet Division. Last year, the notification was issued on April 4, six days before Eid ul Fitr. This year, the Cabinet Division is expected to notify Eid holidays in Pakistan around March 25.

The meeting of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee for Shawwal moon sighting will take place on Sunday, March 30. The Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) has predicted that Eidul Fitr will be observed on March 31, 2025.
