Pakistan beat France

Pakistan on Friday gave a resounding defeat to France in a penalty shootout to advance to the final of the FIH Hockey Nations Cup 2024, held in Kuala Lumpur.

In a penalty shootout of 3-2, Pakistan goalkeeper Muneeb Ur-Rehman blocked three France chances.

Meanwhile, Rana Waheed Ashraf, Hannan Shahid, and Afraz struck for Pakistan to grab the highly wanted triumph.

As Pakistan reaches the final, it will either face New Zealand or Korea on Saturday.

The two teams remained inseparable after enthralling four quarters as the scoreline was tied at 3-3 at full time.

The match opened to a shaky start as both teams played strongly barring each other from scoring in the first quarter.
