Naseebo Lal’s case against her husband

Earlier, Naseebo Lal accused her husband of physically assaulting her at their home in Lahore. According to FIR filed at Shahdara Police Station, the incident took place on Saturday evening.

Naseebo stated in her complaint that she was sitting in the courtyard of her house when her husband arrived and began verbally abusing her. Moments later, he allegedly picked up a brick and struck her in the face, causing serious injuries to her nose and the left side of her face.

The singer claimed that Hussain has a history of aggressive behavior, frequently arguing and fighting with her. However, this time, the attack was severe, prompting her to take legal action.

This is not the first time Naseebo Lal’s husband has faced legal trouble. In December 2024, Hussain was arrested for allegedly opening fire in his neighborhood in Shahdara Town, injuring a man.

Naseebo Lal’s case comes just months after stage actress Nargis accused her husband, Majid Bashir, of assaulting her over a property dispute. Nargis alleged that Bashir tried to take control of her land and attacked her when she refused.

Naseebo Lal, born in Chishtian, Pakistan, is one of the country’s most celebrated folk singers. She has recorded over 1,500 songs in multiple languages, including Punjabi, Urdu, Saraiki, and Marwari. Over the years, she has gained widespread recognition for her powerful voice, performing in stage shows, films, and on platforms like Coke Studio.

Her most notable performances include the anthem for the eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and the song Tu Jhoom alongside Abida Parveen in Coke Studio’s 14th season.
