Aswad Haroon filed his complaint against Nazish Jahangir at the start of 2024 for failing to repay a Rs2.5 million loan together with a car he had earlier extended to her. According to Haroon he provided Jahangir with the cash and vehicle as part of a project that should have been returned after six months but she failed to do so. The lawsuit states Nazish sent an armed individual named Sikandar Khan to menace him.

Jahangir has denied the accusations and maintained that they are false. She also filed for pre-arrest bail, arguing that the case was an attempt to harass her. However, her plea was dismissed, and the court issued the arrest warrants after she missed several previous hearings. In addition to the fraud case, Jahangir had also approached authorities regarding the negative propaganda being spread about her on social media.
