KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) indicates Karachi weather will go through a heatwave during this weekend with temperatures surpassing 37°C. Friday brought the highest temperature of 36.9°C to the city.

The weekend of hot weather in Karachi will persist through Saturday and Sunday when temperatures oscillate above 37°C mark. The higher temperatures observed reach up to 21.1°C during the morning due to day-time strong sunlight coupled with wind speeds that remained low.

The low humidity forecast indicates the warmth will not worsen because of the increasing temperatures. Most regions throughout Sindh including Karachi are projected to have dry weather conditions and high temperatures as the weekend starts.

The minimum temperature prediction for Hyderabad and the other areas of Sindh falls between 20°C and 23°C. Mohenjo-Daro and Sukkur have experienced colder temperatures that reached 15 degrees Celsius as the lowest mark.

The overall weather is expected to remain warm and dry throughout the weekend, so residents are advised to stay hydrated and take precautions against the heat.
