Indian occupation forces have arrested over 2,000 Kashmiris from various districts of the valley, days after the killing of civilians in Pahalgam — an episode that Pakistan has strongly condemned.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the brutal crackdown primarily targets the youth, with young Kashmiris bearing the brunt of India’s barbaric actions.

In Islamabad district alone, more than 175 Kashmiri youths have been unlawfully detained and are being subjected to severe interrogation and torture.

Indian troops have also embarked on a campaign of destruction, demolishing the homes of innocent Kashmiris after attack in Pahalgam. In the past 48 hours, houses belonging to six so-called ‘terrorists’ or their alleged associates have been razed to the ground, with occupation authorities shamelessly vowing to continue this illegal practice against anyone resisting their oppressive rule.

Additional checkpoints have been set up across the district, with patrolling and ambush operations intensified, particularly in the densely forested areas — a clear attempt to further terrorise the already oppressed population.

The Pahalgam incident has sharply escalated tensions between Pakistan and India. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has warned that Pakistan’s armed forces remain fully capable and prepared to defend the country’s sovereignty at all costs.

He also reiterated unwavering support for the brave Kashmiri people living under the iron fist of Modi’s regime, vowing that Pakistan would continue to stand with them in their just struggle for freedom.
