Pakistani actor, Imran Abbas got angry at the public for criticising Danish Taimoor because of his remarks about multiple marriages.
He asked the people to focus on the real issues rather than making memes, mocking the actors and following the trends.
Danish Taimoor said, “If God has permitted something, then He has permitted it. That I’m not doing it, is a different matter. I say this in front of her (Ayeza Khan) and today I’m saying it in front of you all, I am allowed to marry four times… But it’s because of my love and respect for her, that for now, I want to spend my life with her.”
He said this infront of his wife who was sitting right next to him during a live Ramadan transmission.
Many people thought that the comment was disrespectful towards his wife.
While Danish later posted a video apologising, the controversy is far from over.
During the show, Khan candidly shared that earlier in their marriage, Taimoor’s father would give her pocket money — and then later follow up on how she spent it. “Initially, when I wasn’t working, I needed pocket money. And I would get that pocket money through his father,” she said, laughing. “He would give me the cheque and then ask me next month what I did with it.”
This also started a debate on the internet.
