Advisor to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah on Thursday stated that the government would have no problem if founder Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan is released in cases by courts.

Speaking on Geo News’ program ‘Geo Pakistan’, Rana Sana said that the founder of PTI is in jail due to his cases.

“Imran Khan can get his bail from the High Court or the Supreme Court, government would have no objection to that,” revealed the senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader.

He also disclosed Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Ali Amin Gandapur was urged to strengthen the provincial police and the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in the recent in-camera session of Parliament on national security.

Earlier this week, National Assembly speaker Ayaz Sadiq called the high-level meeting comprising of senior military and political leaders amid dangerous rise in terrorism incidents across the country.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) refused to attend the meeting, arguing that the founder PTI Imran Khan must be consulted in any important national issue.

However, CM KP Gandapur attended the meeting along with the CMs of all provinces. In the meeting, the civil-military leadership vowed to deal with terrorists with an “iron hand.”

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir, during the session, remarked: “If this country exists, then so do we, so there is nothing more important to us than the security of the country. For the security of Pakistan, we will have to adopt a unified narrative beyond our political and personal interests.”

“For sustainable stability, all elements of national power will have to work in harmony. This is a battle for our survival and that of our future generations. We need better governance and making the state of Pakistan a Hard State.”
