Google Pay is now live in Pakistan

Pakistanis can enjoy the services of Google Pay now, as the app of “Google Wallet” is live in the country. Google Wallet was first launched in 2011 and it has come to Pakistan after more than a decade.

If you have a card of Bank AlFalah or Bank of Punjab or Faysal Bank Noor or HBL or Meezan Bank or UBL, you can add your card in Google Wallet today.

Difference between Google Wallet and Google Pay

In simple words, Google Wallet is the name of the app that lets you use Google Pay as a payment method.

Google Wallet also acts like a holder. For instance, you can add your already existing debit or credit card, boarding pass or loyalty cards and it will be kept safe.

On the other hand, Google Pay facilitates payments which can be online or in-store.

How to download it?

Just go to your Play Store or App store, write Google Wallet and download it. For its use, you will have to login your Google account. After logging in, your screen will look like this:

Then, add your card in the Wallet and voila you are in and all set.

What is the main use of it?

The primary use of Google Pay is that you can do transactions worldwide by sitting at home.

Amazon, eBay, ASOS (clothing brand), and others accept Google Pay.

Does Google Pay charge you?

Google Pay doesn’t have a fee but your card which will be in Google Wallet can be charged by your bank if you make a certain transaction.

How to pay with Google Pay?

Since Google Pay does not have a certain card, you can go into a store and simply tap your phone on the payment reader. This particular feature is popular worldwide. This method of in-store payment has yet to be introduced in Pakistan. In this way, you do not have to carry your debit or credit card which is always at risk of being lost.
