DG ISPR Major General Ahmed Sharif and Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar will brief the top leaders of all political parties on the current national security amid tensions with India today (Sunday).
The briefing by Director General Inter-Services Public Relations and federal minister will focus on the current state of national security, particularly in the context of Pakistan-India relations and the implications of recent developments.
Participants will be briefed on the defensive preparedness of Pakistan’s armed forces, ongoing diplomatic efforts, and the official stance of the state on key issues.
DG ISPR’s previous press conference
Earlier this week, DG ISPR addressed an important press conference to inform the public about the current security situation in Pakistan.
Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting also facilitated a visit for Pakistani and international media to the Line of Control (LoC) today.
The purpose behind taking international media to the LoC is to expose India’s baseless and fabricated propaganda about alleged “terror camps” in Pakistan.
India keeps spreading propaganda regarding so-called and imaginary “terrorist camps” in Pakistan.
Since the Pahalgam attack, India has repeatedly made baseless and false claims regarding alleged terrorist hideouts along the LoC.
“The media will be taken to the places that India has presented as terrorist camps,” read the press release by the Ministry of Information.
Amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan, the Indian RAW-backed social media accounts have been busy creating disinformation and fake news about Pakistan after failing to convince the international community about its narrative of the Pahalgam attack.
On April 22, militants attacked Indian tourists in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) Pahalgam area, causing 26 deaths.
Indian media and Modi-led government instantly blamed Pakistan without conducting any kind of investigation and failing to apprehend a single militant involved.
