China calls India’s attacks on Pakistan regrettable, urging both sides to act in the larger interest of peace and stability and to remain calm.
The country has also expressed deep concern over India’s cowardly attack on innocent civilians, which resulted in the loss of 26 innocent lives.
“They’re both China’s neighbors as well. China opposes all forms of terrorism. We urge both sides to act in the larger interest of peace and stability, remain calm, exercise restraint and refrain from taking actions that may further complicate the situation”, said China.
Trump calls India’s attacks ‘shameful’
Right after India’s attack, US President Donald Trump called it “shameful”.
“It’s a shame, we just heard about it,” Trump said at the White House.
He added, “I just hope it ends very quickly.”
Secretary of State, Marco Rubio later said, “I am monitoring the situation between India and Pakistan closely. I echo @POTUS‘s comments earlier today that this hopefully ends quickly and will continue to engage both Indian and Pakistani leadership towards a peaceful resolution.”
