Webdesk: Recently, an X (formerly Twitter) handle of “Fitna-al-Hindustan,” allegedly operated from Malaysia, shared a misleading video and post claiming that Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were using a civilian bus, thereby endangering the lives of ordinary citizens, Azaad Fact Check identified.

The video was linked to a Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) attack on a civilian bus, with the claim that the passengers were not civilians but military personnel.

But this is a claim that has been debunked by Azad Fact Check. As their investigations established, the case was not that at all and no military service or any FC operative was involved in the case.

The blue-colored bus shown in the original video of the bus that was attacked by the BLA is a passenger vehicle commonly used for long distances in Pakistan.

Conversely, Fitna-al-Hindustan X handle posted a modified variant of the video, with a photo of a pink bus, that was not in the record. This change is noteworthy because it aims to persuade the masses that various actors or situations are involved.

In Balochistan, the BLA had attacked a civilian bus. The innocent passengers were on their way to a wedding ceremony. The misleading narrative was that the bus was not being employed in any military or paramilitary operations.

The video does not provide any reason to support the suspicion that FC employees were using the civilian bus or were engaged in a military operation regarding the attack.

While it is true that FC is active in various security operations in Balochistan, this particular attack was solely carried out by BLA terrorists, and there was no indication of FC involvement in or around the targeted vehicle.

Fitna-al-Hindustan was intentionally spreading hateful and manipulated material, including the image of an invented pink bus, to deceive the audience and put the tragic event out of context.

In this BLA cowardly attack, it was the innocent civilians who were the main victims, and several were injured, and some lost their lives. It is of high concern that Indian social media accounts spread such disinformation, which aims to undermine trust between ordinary people and institutions.
