Azaad Fact Check has exposed a false claim made by an India-based X (formerly Twitter) account.

The claim stated that India attacked a nuclear facility in Pakistan’s Kirana Hills that is allegedly owned by the United States.

The fact-checking group confirmed that no such nuclear facility exists in Kirana Hills. It also stated that there is no evidence of any Indian missile or drone strike in the area.

The viral post suggested that Pakistan’s nuclear infrastructure was under foreign control. The claim said that Pakistan’s nuclear site had been owned by the U.S. since 2007. According to Azaad Fact Check, this claim is false.

Pakistan’s nuclear assets are controlled by the National Command Authority. This body is made up of civilian and military leadership. It handles all policy and operational control over the country’s nuclear weapons and material.

The fact-check also noted that the missile systems, technology, and material involved in Pakistan’s nuclear program are locally handled by dedicated departments and agencies.

Azaad Fact Check said the false claim is part of a larger disinformation campaign. It pointed out that many of the accounts spreading this narrative are linked to BJP circles in India.

Analysts believe such content is aimed at confusing the public and creating false narratives around Pakistan’s nuclear program. The attempt to link Pakistan’s nuclear command to foreign control is seen as a political move, not based on any evidence.

Officials in Pakistan have not issued an official comment, but sources confirm there has been no unusual activity reported in the Kirana Hills area.
