Pakistan cricket team’s head coach, Aaqib Javed, has said that the team is inexperienced compared to the Indian cricket team.
While answering a journalist’s question, he said, “I can give you numbers. The Indian cricket team is the most experienced. Altogether, they have played 1,500 games, while Pakistan is at the bottom with around 400 games.”
He pointed out that, among all the players in the Pakistan cricket team, only Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Afridi have played the most matches, while the rest have played fewer than 30 matches.
“When the pressure comes onto you, it becomes difficult for the new guys to handle it,” he added.
The press conference came after Pakistan’s exit from the Champions Trophy, an International Cricket Council (ICC) which the country was hosting after decades.

Aaqib Javed further defended the team, saying that when a team doesn’t win, the players are the most affected.
Additionally, he explained that some players were changed because of injuries, including Saim Ayub. He also noted the importance of Fakhar Zaman who got injured during Champions Trophy.
Other than this, he said Shaheen, Naseem are the future.
About the selection of the team, he said “you can never been satisfied”. He also stated, “We can’t change the entire team into an under-19 squad.”
This is not the first time Pakistan has played poorly. In the ICC World Cup 2023, they were knocked out in the early stages and suffered a terrible loss against India.
