KARACHI: The Sindh government on Friday launched an online job portal to provide employment opportunities to its citizens.
Reportedly, the portal will feature job listings from government and private sector organisations.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, business community leaders, and a large number of key figures attended the launching ceremony.
Sharjeel Memon while addressing the ceremony remarked that more than half the country’s population is youth; therefore, the government has initiated this service for employment needs of Sindh’s youth.
He noted that the portal allows the job seekers to upload their resumes/CVs on the job portal, making the job finding process efficient.
Memon stated that the portal would not only offer government job opportunities but also connect potential employers with private sector employers.
Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah remarked that the newly launched job portal will give the youth of province many opportunities. He also remarked that this initiative will help Sindh pool its talent together, ultimately benefitting the province.
He stated that job advertisements for grades 1 to 4 will also be posted on this portal. Jobs for grades 5 to 15 will be provided through the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), ensuring transparency in the recruitment process.
Bilawal Bhutto also took to X (formerly Twitter) to write: “Join us and be a part of Sindhs progress. Whether you are a job creator or job seeker register at; http://iwork4sindh.com.
