Tailor shot dead in Attock over Eid clothes dispute

TAXILA: A man in Kamalpur Musa village on Tuesday killed a tailor for refusing to perform pre-Eid clothes stitching. The incident took place in the limits of Hazro police station.

The suspect named Mudassar visited the shop of tailor Sajid Mehmood requesting him to complete his Eid clothes sewing work. Sajid refused the work assignment because he had too much on his hands. The murder occurred when Mudassar used his pistol to kill Sajid immediately after the argument.

The deceased was first shifted to tehsil headquarters hospital he then received additional treatment at Holy Family Hospital in Rawalpindi.

The suspect escaped from the scene while police now conduct a search mission to capture him.

According to the Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) Eidul Fitr would be observed on March 31, 2025. However, the official announcement would be made by the official Ruet-i-Hilal Committee chaired by Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad.
