CM Maryam announces education card scheme for top performers in Punjab

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has unveiled a new initiative called the ‘CM Education Card’ to foster academic growth throughout the province.

This programme is designed to recognise and reward top-performing students, with those achieving over 80 per cent marks being awarded the ‘CM Eminence Star Card.’

In a series of further announcements, the Chief Minister revealed plans to establish modern, state-of-the-art laboratories for students pursuing matriculation and technical education.

Additionally, a pilot project will be rolled out in 338 schools across Lahore to introduce English-speaking classes, aimed at enhancing students’ language proficiency.

Turning attention to the condition of schools, the Chief Minister has set a 90-day timeline to address basic infrastructure needs, including the provision of clean drinking water, whitewashing of walls, and adequate furniture in schools.

Maryam Nawaz reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to improving education in Punjab, stressing that the sector remains a top priority.

She highlighted the importance of instilling patriotism and strong ethical values in students, noting that these elements are key to shaping responsible and informed citizens.
