Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Visits Pakistan to Boost Ties with UAE

WEBDESK: Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in Islamabad on Thursday for his first official visit to Pakistan. He was invited by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

PM Shehbaz, President Asif Ali Zardari, and First Lady Aseefa Bhutto-Zardari welcomed the crown prince at the airport despite rainy weather.

According to Pakistan’s Foreign Office, the visit highlights the strong friendship between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It also aims to strengthen economic cooperation between the two nations.

During his visit, the Abu Dhabi crown prince will meet with Pakistan’s leadership to discuss mutual interests, deepen historical ties, and explore new investment opportunities. Several agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) will be signed to enhance long-term collaboration in different sectors.

“This visit underscores the deep-rooted fraternal ties between Pakistan and the UAE and reflects the shared commitment to further strengthen bilateral economic partnership,” the Foreign Office highlighted.

“Pakistan and the UAE have always enjoyed a relationship characterised by mutual respect, trust, and shared aspirations,” it said.

The visit of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince to Pakistan is expected to strengthen economic and diplomatic ties between the two nations, further boosting Pakistan-UAE relations.

Meanwhile, Pakistan and Uzbekistan have signed multiple agreements to boost cooperation in defense, technology, and youth development on Wednesday.

Both countries also agreed to work towards increasing bilateral trade to $2 billion. The agreements were signed during PM Shehbaz Sharif’s two-day visit to Uzbekistan.
