WEBDESK(Azaad English): Social media is buzzing with reactions after Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Junaid Akbar Khan claimed that the party has remained in contact with the establishment. Many users have taken to Twitter to express their opinions, with some calling out PTI for what they see as hypocrisy.
One user commented, “Once again, PTI’s double standards are exposed. Junaid Akbar claims the party has always been in contact with the establishment, while the establishment has already made it clear that there is no communication with Imran Khan.”
Many users pointed out the contradiction in PTI’s stance, noting that while the party often criticizes the establishment, it also admits to maintaining contact with them. Another user questioned, “If PTI is in touch with the establishment, then why do they keep writing letters asking for dialogue?”
Junaid Akbar’s remarks have sparked a debate online, with people questioning PTI’s narrative and its shifting stance on its relationship with the establishment.

Speaking on a private TV program, Junaid Akbar revealed that PTI was offered a chance to form a government without its founder, Imran Khan, even before the elections. He stated, “We were given an offer before the elections to form a government without Imran Khan, and we were told that there would be no issue with it.”
He further disclosed that even now, the party has been told to let the current government continue for another two years. However, he emphasized that this is where the differences between PTI and the establishment lie. He stated that discussions are ongoing through different channels and forums.
Junaid Akbar also mentioned that PTI had connections with the establishment even before and after November 26. He added that if Imran Khan gives permission, party will continue these discussions. He expressed party’s desire to move forward in this matter only with Imran Khan’s approval.
