ISLAMABAD: Analyst Hassan Ayub while talking on Azaad Siasat’s exclusive podcast on Tuesday questioned former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s source of income after media reported about Khan’s huge expenses in Adiala Jail.

According to media reports, Khan’s expenses in prison saw an increase after his spouse, Bushra Bibi, was arrested in Al-Qadir Trust case last month. Imran Khan’s customised food menu’s cost allegedly jumped from Rs 400,000-500,000 to Rs700,000-800,000 monthly after Bushra Bibi was also arrested.

It should be highlighted the jail expenditures are being borne by Khan himself.

Analyst Hassan Ayub stated: “What is Imran Khan’s source of income? If it is true that Rs600,000 to Rs800,000 are being spent monthly then it should be clarified whether the party [PTI] is paying for it? Or if he is paying for it personally then tell the public.”

He further stated: “Who is paying for these expenses? It should be clarified whether the government is paying it or the Goldsmith family.”

According to reports, Imran Khan’s expensive menu include fresh juice and fruits in breakfast, three coffees a day, pink salmon, and desi chicken broth while all the entire menu is inspected by nutritionists.
