Gold prices in Pakistan continue to rise on Thursday in line with their rise in international rates.
In the local market, gold price per tola price has increased by Rs1,000 and has reached a new all-time high of Rs309,000.
According to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), 10-gram gold was sold at Rs264,917 after it saw an increase of Rs857.
The international rate of gold increased on Thursday. As per APGJSA, the rate was at $2,953 per ounce (with a premium of $20), an increase of $9 during the day.
Meanwhile, silver price increased by Rs28 to settle at Rs3,468 per tola on Thursday.
On Wednesday the price of 24-carat gold in Pakistan reached Rs308,000 per tola and Rs264,060 per 10 grams, reflecting the ongoing surge in gold prices.
In January 2025, gold prices in Pakistan had already hit record highs, driven by a combination of rising international market rates and increased local demand. The fluctuations in gold prices were largely influenced by global market trends, as well as domestic economic conditions, making gold an increasingly valuable commodity in the country.
