The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has announced revised trading timings for Ramadan, effective from March 2. However, the first trading session under the new schedule will be on Monday, March 3.
The timings have been revised to facilitate citizens during the holy month of Ramadan. The schedule will revert to the regular timings after Ramadan.
PSX office hours will be from 9:00am to 3:00pm, Monday to Thursday. However, on Fridays during Ramadan, office hours will be from 9:00am to 2:00pm.
The pre-open session will begin at 9:17am and close at 1:50pm. On Fridays, the pre-open session will run from 9:15am to 12:50pm
The timing for trade rectification/modification will be until 2:20pm, while on Fridays, it will be until 1:20pm

Pakistan is a Muslim-majority country, and Ramadan is observed with religious zeal and respect. To honour the month, the office timings of both public and private sectors are also reduced.
Timings of schools, colleges, and universities are also revised, and examination schedules are adjusted to facilitate students.
In addition to PSX, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has also issued special Ramadan timings.
According to SBP, commercial banks, development finance institutions (DFIs), and microfinance banks will follow the revised schedule during Ramadan.
For the month of Ramadan, citizens should check the revised timings before visiting banks or any public office.
