Rain likely in Lahore Punjab, on Monday

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Lahore and other cities of Punjab will likely receive moderate to light rain on Monday, May 26.

Monday weather forecast for Punjab by PMD:

Hot and dry weather is expected to mainly be present in most districts of the province. Partly cloudy weather with light to moderate rain windstorms/thundershowers is expected at isolated places in Murree, Galliyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Khushab, Sargodha, Mianwali, Jhelum, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Kasur, Okara and Sheikhupura during night hours.

Earlier, Lahore on Saturday experienced a sudden weather change as it recovered from a dust storm and rain after it.

The dust storm looked straight out of a movie scene. On the same day, Islamabad received a hailstorm, the third in 2 months.

On Saturday, many cities of Pakistan received unusual rain.

Climate experts say that these sudden rains, dust storms, and hailing are due to climate change.

Hot and dry weather prevailed over most parts of the country, while very hot in plain areas. However, rain-thunderstorm occurred at isolated places in upper Punjab and Kashmir.

Today’s Recorded Highest Maximum Temperatures (°C): Nokkundi, Sakrand, Chhor, Mithi 46, Jacobabad, Dalbandin, Turbat and Shaheed Benazirabad 45.

Separately, The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has warned that the upcoming monsoon season 2025 is expected to bring above normal rainfall in Pakistan. This alert comes just weeks after the NDMA warned citizens about dangerous heatwave conditions affecting many parts of the country.
