Absconder Ahmad Noorani’s YouTube channel has been blocked from access within Pakistan.
In an official email sent to Noorani on May 12, YouTube informed him that his content had been reviewed and subsequently restricted from being viewed in Pakistan. The platform cited a “legal complaint from a government entity” as the reason for the takedown.
“The content has been blocked from view on the following YouTube country site(s): Pakistan,” the email stated.
YouTube further clarified that while the content remains available globally, it is no longer viewable within Pakistan due to the legal nature of the complaint.
Separately this year in April Ahmad Noorani’s former wife and a senior journalist, Ambreen Fatima, while appearing on Furrukh Warraich podcast on April 9 revealed the traumatic experience she had to bear following her marriage to self-exiled journalist Ahmad Noorani.
Ambreen Fatima, while narrating her ordeal, revealed that Ahmad Noorani, along with his mother, pleaded with her to ask her hand in a marriage proposal. She stated, “He [Ahmad Noorani] was already married but he and his mother both painted a picture that his first marriage was very toxic.”
Ambreen said that she refused Noorani’s marriage proposal and her family also vehemently opposed the idea of her being a second wife.
Referencing the recently viral video of Ahmad Noorani’s mother weeping in Islamabad High Court (IHC) following the disappearance of her two sons, Ambreen stated: “This is a very tough time on them and May Allah make it easy for them. After seeing that video of his mother crying, I remembered that day she cried the same way when she was asking for my hand in marriage for her son [Ahmad Noorani].”
