WEBDESK: According to the Pakistan Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) advisory rain is expected in different cities of Pakistan including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Sargodha, Mianwali, Gujranwala, Gujrat and Sialkot from March 25 to 27, 2025. This change in weather is expected to bring relief from rising temperatures and refresh the atmosphere. However people are also wondering what the weather will be like on Eid.
Weather update Punjab
Several cities, including Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Sargodha, Mianwali, Mandi Bahauddin, and Khushab, are likely to receive rain during this period. Other areas such as Sheikhupura, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Sialkot, and Narowal are also expected to witness showers. Meanwhile, southern Punjab cities like Toba Tek Singh, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur, Bahawalpur, Khanewal, Layyah, Sahiwal, and Pakpattan may also experience rainfall.
Weather update Northern Areas
For those in Murree and Galyat, the forecast includes snowfall, creating a picturesque winter-like scene even as spring progresses. The rain and snow will not only beautify the landscape but also help in improving water levels for agriculture.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Witness Storms and Hail
Several parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Swat, Malakand, Mansehra, and Abbottabad, will experience rain, thunderstorms, and snowfall in mountainous regions from March 25 to 27. Some areas may also face hailstorms. Southern districts like Waziristan, Kohat, and Bannu are expected to receive rain on March 25 and 26.

Weather Update Balochistan
Rain and thunderstorms are also predicted in parts of Balochistan, including Quetta, Zhob, and Khuzdar, between March 25 and 26.
Dust Storms Sindh
While most of Sindh will remain dry, upper parts of the province may experience dust storms during this period.
This rainy spell is expected to bring a refreshing change, benefiting farmers and cooling down temperatures across Punjab whics needed as the Jhelum River is facing an extreme drought, causing a major water shortage in Punjab. As a result, power generation at Mangla Dam has been completely stopped, worsening the energy crisis in the country.
Eid Weather Update
According to the weather forecast for Eidul-Fitr 2025 in Pakistan, most regions are expected to experience warm and dry conditions. In Karachi, temperatures are likely to range between 36 to 37°C, with sea breezes helping to keep the weather relatively pleasant. However, high humidity levels may make the heat feel more intense.
Islamabad and other cities in Punjab are also expected to see rising temperatures, signaling the early arrival of summer. The Meteorological Department has warned that Lahore and other parts of Punjab will experience a gradual increase in temperature due to the ongoing dry weather.
During April, the average temperature across most parts of Pakistan ranges between 26 to 35°C, with low chances of rainfall. Therefore, warm and dry weather is expected during Eid.
