KARACHI: A heatwave will strike Karachi alongside several Sindh cities this weekend according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) which predicts a very warm and dry Weather in this area.

The meteorological reports predict Karachi will face peak temperatures of 39°C on Saturday and additional coastal areas including Hyderabad Nawabshah Mithi and Turbat will experience equally high temperatures. Mithi reached the maximum temperature in Sindh at 45°C while Nawabshah followed closely behind at 44°C.

Accurate meteorological assessments indicate Sindh together with some areas in southern Punjab will experience temperatures that surpass typical day conditions by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius during this month. The PMD explains that hot weather persists in the region because dry northwesterly winds continue to blow through the area.

At this moment Karachi experiences 10 km/h northwest winds that bring humidity levels to 71%. A sea breeze is anticipated to restore itself during evening hours to reduce overall heat conditions.

The PMD predicts that Hyderabad will suffer from intense heat when temperatures rise to levels between 42°C and 44°C this weekend. Chhor together with Lasbela may possibly exceed 41°C and Dadu along with Thatta will probably reach about 40°C.

Health specialists have notified local residents to protect themselves from heat through peak activity restrictions and hydration guidance. The hot weather pattern will continue until the end of the weekend until the meteorological conditions show any meaningful transformation.

People should monitor local weather bulletins alongside adhering to safety rules in order to protect themselves from dangerous heat conditions.
