WEBDESK: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has shared a fresh weather update for the country. According to the latest report, most parts of Pakistan will experience hot and dry weather in the coming days, with very few chances of rain.
Islamabad Weather Update
According to a recent weather update, the clouds over the city have cleared, causing temperatures to rise. The temperature in the city is expected to reach up to 37°C, with humidity recorded at 66 percent.
The Met Office has predicted no chance of rain over the next 24 hours, and the weather will stay hot and dry. Citizens have also been advised that the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha will be spent in heat and rising temperatures.
Kashmir Weather Update
In Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, thunderstorms accompanied by rain are expected, which may help improve local weather conditions.
Heatwave Alert Issued for Balochistan
Meanwhile, the weather update for Balochistan has raised concerns of a heatwave during Eid-ul-Adha. Cities like Sibi, Naseerabad, Usta Muhammad, Sohbatpur, and Jaffarabad may face temperatures 7 to 8 degrees Celsius above normal.
Other regions including Dera Bugti, Duki, Harnai, Jhal Magsi, Kachhi, Chaghi, Washuk, Kharan, and Kech are also expected to remain very hot.

Dust Storms and Strong Winds Predicted
According to the weather update cities like Quetta, Khuzdar, Qila Saifullah, and Qila Abdullah will experience temperatures 6 degrees Celsius higher than usual. Dust storms and windy weather are likely in areas such as Chaghi, Washuk, Kharan, Kech, Panjgur, Sibi, Quetta, Surab, Mastung, and Nushki. From today till Saturday evening, strong sea winds are expected in coastal cities including Jiwani, Gwadar, Pasni, and Ormara.
Rain Forecast for Northern Regions
On the other hand, there’s some relief for the northern regions. The Met Office’s weather update predicts rain with thunderstorms in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa like Dir, Swat, Malakand, Shangla, and Mansehra. Punjab districts such as Mianwali, Jhang, Faisalabad, and Sargodha might also receive rain, providing a break from the heat.
The weather update further adds that Sindh and most areas of Balochistan will continue to remain hot and dry. However, in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, thunderstorms with rain are expected, which could improve local conditions.
People are advised to stay safe in the heat, stay hydrated, and avoid unnecessary outdoor activities during the hottest parts of the day.
