WEBDESK: West Indies cricket legend Viv Richards called Pakistan his “second home” during the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10. Serving as a mentor for Quetta Gladiators, Viv Richards praised the love, warmth, and hospitality he receives in the country, adding that being in Pakistan always feels special.
“This could be my second home because I really enjoy it here. I love it here. And all these wonderful people that we have here in the PSL. It is just a great place to be,” Viv Richards said.
Reflecting on the team performance, Viv Richards admitted that the team has faced challenges this season. However, he remained hopeful, highlighting the team’s ability to bounce back, especially after their recent win over Karachi. He emphasized the importance of staying focused and keeping the momentum going.
“It [cricket] has been good. Apart from the loss that we would have had in Islamabad, but apparently, we are getting ourselves together. As you can see from tonight, Karachi had a great start, but I think we came back well, and we should be up for a win if we play well enough,” he said.
HBL PSL X began on April 11 and has already brought excitement to cities like Lahore, Karachi, Multan, and Rawalpindi. The tournament continues to attract global attention and showcases Pakistan’s passion for cricket on an international level.
Quetta Gladiators began their campaign on a high after beating Peshawar Zalmi in their first game.
However, they lost their next two games to Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings, respectively.
