WEBDESK: Multan Sultans’ wicketkeeper-batter Usman Khan has set a bold goal for PSL 2025 – to become the first player in the league’s history to score a double century in the tournament’s 10th edition beginning on Friday. Known for his aggressive batting, Usman already holds the record for the fastest century in PSL, and now he’s aiming even higher.

Speaking ahead of the PSL 2025 season, Usman shared his excitement and determination. “I want to score a double century in this year’s PSL and perform well for my team,” he told Geo News. With his explosive style and ability to build big innings, fans are eager to see what he delivers this season.

The right-handed top-order batter also addressed Multan Sultans’ recent struggles in finals, having finished as runners-up in the last three editions. “We have worked hard for PSL 10. Our effort will be to play normal cricket and perform well for the team. In the last three seasons, we lost the final, but this time the goal is to win it,” he said.

Usman shared that captain Mohammad Rizwan has urged the squad to stay composed under pressure. “Rizwan told us to play pressure-free and normal cricket,” he added.

When asked about his international journey, Usman reflected on his decision to switch allegiance from the UAE to Pakistan saying, “Many told me I made a mistake, but I sacrificed for my dream. By Allah’s grace, I got the chance to represent Pakistan.”

With plans to play aggressively during both the power-play and middle overs, Usman wants to adapt to the fast-changing pace of modern T20 cricket. His goal to score a double century has not only excited fans but also raised expectations for thrilling performances in PSL 2025.
