WEBDESK: President Donald Trump says US forces have conducted “very successful” strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.

Iran urges IAEA to act after US strikes on nuclear sites
Iran is urging the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to investigate the recent US strikes on its nuclear facilities, according to a report by Iran’s news outlet SNN.
In a letter addressed to IAEA chief Rafael Grossi, Iran’s nuclear head Mohammad Eslami called on the agency to strongly condemn the US actions and take necessary steps in response.
He criticised Grossi for what he described as “inaction and complicity”, adding that Tehran will explore “appropriate legal measures” to challenge the strikes.
Tehran says it will resist US ‘aggression’ with full force
Iran’s foreign ministry has strongly condemned the latest US strikes on its nuclear sites, calling them a “gross and unprecedented violation” of international law.
In a statement reported by the semi-official Tasnim news agency, the ministry said Iran has every right to respond to such “aggression.”
It accused the United States of turning its back on diplomacy by backing what it called Israel’s “aggressive action” and now leading “a dangerous war against Iran.”
The statement went on to say the US “adheres to no rules or ethics” and “spares no lawlessness or crime” to support what Iran described as “a genocidal and occupying regime.”
“The Islamic Republic of Iran considers it its right to stand with all its might against US military aggression and the crimes committed by this rogue regime, and to defend the security and national interests of Iran,” the ministry added.
Israel launches fresh strikes on ‘military targets’ in western Iran
The Israeli military has announced that it is launching a new round of airstrikes in western Iran, saying the attacks are aimed at “military targets.”
Earlier, Israeli forces claimed they had destroyed missile launchers and hit positions where Iranian troops were located during a previous wave of strikes.
US attack will have ‘everlasting consequences’, says Iranian FM
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has strongly condemned the US airstrikes on Iranian nuclear sites, calling them a serious violation of international law.
Araghchi said the United States, a permanent member of the UN Security Council, had broken the UN Charter, international law, and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) by targeting what he described as peaceful nuclear facilities.
In a social media post, he wrote: “The United States, a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, has committed a grave violation of the UN Charter, international law and the NPT by attacking Iran’s peaceful nuclear installations.”
Araghchi warned that “the events this morning are outrageous and will have everlasting consequences,” urging all UN members to take notice of what he called “extremely dangerous, lawless and criminal behavior.”
He also stressed that Iran “reserves all options to defend its sovereignty, interest, and people.”
Iran says nuclear sites safe, no contamination detected
Iran’s nuclear authority has said there is no sign of radioactive contamination following the recent US strikes on several nuclear sites, including Fordow, Isfahan, and Natanz.
In a post shared on social media, the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran said: “Announcement from the Nuclear Safety System Center. Following the illegal US attack on the Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear sites, field surveys and radiation systems data showed: No contamination recorded.”
The statement added that there is “no danger to residents around these sites” and that “safety is in a stable state.”
Saudi Arabia’s Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Commission also announced that no radioactive effects were found in the environment of Saudi Arabia or nearby Gulf states following the recent US strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.
No serious damage to Fordow, says Iranian MP
An Iranian MP has claimed that the Fordow nuclear site was not seriously affected by the recent US strike.
Manan Raisi, who represents the Qom region where the facility is located, described the damage as “superficial.”
“Based on accurate information, I state that contrary to the claims of the lying US president, the Fordow nuclear facility has not been seriously damaged and most of what was damaged was only on the ground, which can be restored,” he said, according to the Tasnim news agency.
Raisi also repeated earlier reports that there had been no sign of any radioactive leak following the attack.
No signs of major explosion felt, says IRNA
According to IRNA, the Iranian state news agency, people living nearby “did not feel any signs of a major explosion” following the reported US strike.
The agency added that “conditions in the area were completely normal” and that more information would be made public after a formal assessment.
Donald Trump described the strikes as a “spectacular success,” but so far, there has been no independent confirmation of what damage, if any, was caused.
Some Iranian officials have indicated that the enriched uranium stored at the underground facility had already been removed before the attack.
Iran has said that only official experts will share full details about the recent attack on its Fordow nuclear site.
At this point, it remains uncertain what effect the strike will have on Iran’s nuclear programme.
Trump warns ‘far greater’ attacks if Iran retaliates
Trump said on his social media website, Truth Social:
“ANY RETALIATION BY IRAN AGAINST THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA WILL BE MET WITH FORCE FAR GREATER THAN WHAT WAS WITNESSED TONIGHT.”
