Pakistani actress, Urwa Hocane has urged Pakistanis to stand with their country and show some self-respect in response to Indian media’s constant targeting of Pakistanis.
In an Instagram story, the actor urged her fellow actors, “So when there is war you do not try to save your fans on the other side, have faith they will still be there even if you stand tall with your own people.”
“Someone please add these basic subjects in our school curriculums”, she concluded.
Urwa Hocane’s statement has come after India banned the Instagram accounts of Pakistani actors including Hania Aamir, Mahira Khan, Fawad Khan and others.
Recently, a fake post went viral of Hania Aamir’s. According to which, she allegedly spoke out about the ban on Pakistani artists in India and the restriction of their Instagram accounts. She was requesting Prime Minister Narendra Modi to reconsider the actions against them.
However, later Hania clarified that “Recently, a statement has been falsely attributed to me and is being widely circulated on social media. I want to address this directly: I did not make this statement, and I do not endorse or align with the words being linked to me. It is entirely fabricated and misrepresents who I am and what I believe.”
It is pertinent to mention that India’s growing hatred towards Pakistan is now visible to everyone.
Now, Indian fans are forced to use VPNs just to view the profiles of their favourite stars.
It is also important to note that these Pakistani actors had strongly condemned the Pahalgam incident and called for unity against terrorism. They did not speak ill of Indian citizens nor did they promote any kind of violence or hostility.
