In an unfortunate incident, Major Zeeyyad Salim Awal along with Sepoy Nazam Hussain, embraced martyrdom on July 23 while engaged in an operation against Indian-sponsored terrorists in Mastung, Balochistan.
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) issued a press release today, stating, “On 23 July 2025, Security Forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Mastung District, on reported presence of terrorists belonging to Indian Proxy, Fitna al Hindustan.”
During the conduct of operation, the troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location and, resultantly, three terrorists were sent to hell, according to ISPR.
“However, during the intense fire exchange, Major Zeeyyad Salim Awal (age: 31 years, resident of District Khushab), a brave officer who was leading his troops from the front, fought gallantly, paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced shahadat along with another brave son of soil Sepoy Nazam Hussain (age: 22 years, resident of District Jhelum),” informed the press release.


The ISPR notice also added that a sanitization operation was ongoing in the area to eliminate any other Indian sponsored terrorists.
“The security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of Indian Sponsored Terrorism from the country, and such sacrifices of our brave men further strengthen our resolve,” stated the press release.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to Major Zeeyadd Saleem and Sepoy Nazim Hussain of the Pakistan Army, who sacrificed their lives while fighting terrorists with courage and bravery during a successful operation.
He prayed for the elevation of the martyrs and expresses condolences to their families, while appreciating security forces for killing three Fitnat-ul-Hindustan terrorists.
