WEBDESK: US President Donald Trump has weighed in, warning Tehran against targeting American interests.

In a post on Truth Social, he said, “If we are attacked in any way, shape or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the US Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before.”

He added, “However, we can easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel, and end this bloody conflict.”

Trump did not explain what sort of deal he had in mind or how it might be reached.

Earlier, Israel and Iran exchanged new attacks overnight into Sunday, as tensions continued to rise and efforts to ease the conflict appeared to stall.

Rescue workers in Israel searched through the debris of homes destroyed in the strikes. Using torches and sniffer dogs, they looked for survivors.

Officials said at least seven people, including children, had lost their lives in the latest round of violence.

Meanwhile, Iran has pulled out of nuclear talks that Washington had earlier described as the only path to stopping Israel’s bombing campaign.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that what Iran had experienced so far was minor compared to what it could face in the coming days.
