Pakistan cricket fans are fuming after that humiliating loss in the first T20 against New Zealand. The new team, packed with youngsters picked to play aggressive cricket, got smashed by the Kiwis and now everyone’s losing their minds. ‘X’ is full of people yelling to bring back Babar Azam & Mohammad Rizwan, as if they’re the fix we need! No, they’re not. Pakistan’s been stuck in the T20 mess for quite a while and it’s not due to the newly selected team. It won’t take much to guess the main culprit(s).
The frustration, no doubt, is understandable, as the team looked awful in that first game. It was a disaster. But are we seriously ditching them after one flop? These guys need time! You can’t just toss a bunch of newbies together and expect miracles. They’re here to play fearless cricket, to take risks, stuff we’ve been begging for to happen. One bad day doesn’t mean the idea’s dead. Pakistan Cricket fans need to relax and give these boys a proper chance instead of crying to bring back the old crew, who are part of the problem.
Babar and Rizwan are talented, no doubt. Babar’s cover drives are pure class, and Rizwan’s got that grit. But what’s it worth when we keep losing? They’ve been around forever, stacking up runs, and padding their stats, but where’s the team’s success? Too often, they’re playing for themselves. Babar stroking it for a pretty fifty, Rizwan eating up balls to “anchor” things. That’s not T20 cricket! It’s slow, it’s dull, and it kills the momentum. Our record with them has been so average, it hurts. They’ve had years to deliver, and we’ve got zilch.
Sure, the youngsters aren’t perfect. They’ve got heaps to learn. But they’re a fresh start. No egos, no baggage, just hunger. Give them a few games, some backing from the coaches and a bit of faith from us fans. They could turn it around.
Pakistan cricket needs to move forward, not cling to a past that’s given us more heartbreak than wins. Let’s stick with the kids, let’s give them a proper 10-match run before writing them off. They can’t do much worse than the glorified duo.
