Sindh govt announces two-day Holi 2025 holiday for Hindu employees

WEBDESK (Azaad English): The Sindh government has announced a two-day holiday for Hindu employees on the occasion of Holi 2025, the popular Hindu festival of colors. According to an official notification, Hindu government employees in the province will have holidays on Thursday and Friday to celebrate the festival with their families and communities.

Holi is celebrated in different towns but Hindu community in Sindh, particularly in cities like Karachi, Hyderabad, and Sukkur, where large gatherings and festivities take place.

In India authorities introduced strict measures for Holi 2025 festivities because the religious occasion occurs during Ramadan. Mumbai police have put forth a security advisory to last until March 18 2025.

In Pakistan, discussions are ongoing regarding the upcoming Eidul Fitr holidays. The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that Ramadan will last for 29 days this year. This means Eidul Fitr is expected to be celebrated on Monday, March 31, 2025.

As Holi and Eid approach, people across Pakistan are preparing for their respective religious celebrations.
