A clip depicting US President Donald Trump’s death on April 12, 2025, is going viral on social media.

What is in the video about Trump’s death?

The viral clip shows a character resembling Trump being carried in a coffin, surrounded by political figures.

Well, after the social media went crazy about this prediction, Matt Selman, the executive producer of The Simpsons, confirmed that the video was fabricated.

He said that the scene never appeared in the show.

This is not the first time such predictions have circulated. In July 2024, after an assassination attempt on Trump, a doctored image emerged showing him in a coffin with the inscription “R.I.P Donald Trump 1946–2024.”

It is pertinent to mention that the Simpsons has made some surprisingly accurate predictions over the years.

In an episode aired in 2000, the show predicted Trump’s presidency, the rise of smartwatches in 1995, and the discovery of the Higgs Boson in 2012. These instances have fueled the idea that the show can predict the future.
