Webdesk: Shoaib Bashir, a spinner from England, will not be able to play in the test series against India on account of a painful broken left-hand finger.

The injury occurred on the third day of England’s thrilling 22-run victory at Lord’s, when 21-year-old Shoaib Bashir was driving from Ravindra Jadeja, trying to collect a strong drive by the batsman.

Even though he was in more pain than before the day bore witness to Shoaib Bashir demonstrating immense bravery by returning to the grounds with the little and ring fingers tied together.

“After that, we’ve seen Jadeja and Bumrah last,” stated Ben Stokes, the captain.

With the final two remaining, the last two of India’s batsmen struggled to hold out against England in their attempt to trap at least two wickets. Shoaib Bashir utters something with a tease off-spinner when Ben Stokes, the captain, gives him the responsibility.

As the ball dribbled onto the stumps, a bail was slowly dislodged, completing an incredible victory. Before that moment of magic with the ball, however, Shoaib Bashir had already shown great humanity with a bat in his hand.

Even with a broken finger, he had the guts to march out as England’s last man on day four to face nine deliveries and score two runs. “Every time I looked down to see the bench, I saw his face wanting to get back on,” were the words of Ben Stokes in a post-match interview as he complimented Shoaib Bashir.

England will announce a new team soon for the fourth test which will be starting from July 23 Shoaib Bashir has already left his mark on the entire team as he was so passionate about his profession.
