Saudi Arabia has confirmed the sighting of Shawwal moon on Saturday, announcing that Eid ul Fitr will be celebrated tomorrow (March 30).
A statement issued by the Royal Court said that evidence has been received of the sighting of the Shawwal moon, and Eidul Fitr 2025 will be celebrated in Saudi Arabia on Sunday (tomorrow).
Earlier today, Saudi Supreme Court had appealed its citizens to look for the Shawwal moon in the sky.
A meeting was held in the city of Al-Sudayr, Saudi Arabia, to sight the Eid moon, while Ruet-e-Hilal Committee meetings were held in more than 10 locations, including Mecca, Medina, Tabuk, and Dammam.
Kingdom has announced a four-day holiday for the private and non-profit sectors. The holidays will begin on Sunday (March 30) and continue till Wednesday (April 2).
Normal work will be resumed from Thursday in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; however, if people combine Friday-Saturday weekend, it would give employees a 6-day break.
