WEBDESK: Pakistan Army has reached Swat to help manage the ongoing flood emergency in the region.

According to official reports, army troops have been deployed to assist in rescue and relief operations alongside Rescue 1122 teams. The army units have arrived fully equipped with essential supplies and tools needed for the operation.

So far, three people have been rescued alive while seven dead bodies have been recovered from the flood-affected areas. The joint efforts of Pakistan Army and Rescue 1122 are continuing as they search for missing persons and provide relief to those affected by the sudden floods in Swat.

Authorities have confirmed that more troops will be sent if the situation worsens. The army is working closely with the local administration during this difficult time to support rescue missions and relief activities.

The situation remains serious, and rescue teams are urging the public to stay away from dangerous areas near the river as operations continue.

Severe flooding in Swat: over 75 people swept away across 7 locations

Swat has witnessed a heartbreaking tragedy after a sudden flash flood claimed several lives. According to reports, people who had gathered for leisure by the river Swat were caught off guard when the water level rose without warning, bringing a powerful flood with it.

Rescue1122 officials confirmed that the incident took place at different spots along the Swat river. As the weather attracted many families and tourists to the scenic riverbanks, the sudden surge in water swept away people enjoying the pleasant environment. So far, seven bodies have been recovered while six people are still missing.

In total, sixteen people were affected by this tragic incident in Swat. Rescue teams managed to save three people alive from the water. A major rescue operation is underway, with 120 personnel actively working across five different locations in Swat to locate the missing individuals.

Director General Rescue, Shah Fahad, stated that despite the strong water flow, their teams are continuing relief and search efforts in Swat. The operation remains difficult due to the speed and force of the water, but emergency workers are determined to recover the missing and assist the affected families.

This unfortunate event has cast a shadow of sorrow over Swat, a region known for its natural beauty and calm surroundings. Authorities are urging people to stay away from riverbanks during uncertain weather conditions to avoid such incidents in future.
