In a message shared on Friday, the Senate Chairman called his martyrdom a guiding light for future generations and a pillar of Pakistan’s stability.

The statement recalled that Captain Muhammad Sarwar, Pakistan’s first recipient of the Nishan‑e‑Haider, embraced martyrdom in the 1948 war at Uri while confronting the enemy.

His sacrifice, the message noted, shaped the foundation of the nation and continues to inspire public service and national unity.
