RAWALPINDI: A special security plan has been enforced around Adiala Jail for three days in response to reports of a possible protest by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers.

As part of the measures, eight additional checkpoints have been established on roads leading to the jail. Nearly 200 security personnel have been deployed, who will perform their duties in three shifts to ensure round-the-clock vigilance.

SP Saddar Division Nabeel Khokhar has been appointed as the direct supervisor for the outer cordon security of the jail. The security personnel will also have backup support from the reserve force in case of any emergency.

Additionally, anti-riot kits have been provided to the deployed officers to handle any untoward situation effectively.
