Saudi Arabia’s low-cost airline, Flyadeal has announced to launch new direct flight routes to key cities of Pakistan.

The airline will introduce services from Riyadh to Islamabad, Peshawar, and Sialkot, as well as from Dammam to Karachi, operating two to three times per week on each route using Airbus A320 aircraft.

The new flights will start between August 24 and August 26.

It is pertinent to mention that one of the standout additions is the Riyadh-Sialkot route, which has remained unserved since Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) suspended it in 2024.

Flyadeal will become the only carrier offering direct service from Saudi Arabia on this route when flights begin on August 26.

Last year, Flyadeal submitted an application to Pakistan’s Ministry of Aviation to operate direct international flights to Pakistan.

Flyadeal, based at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, is owned by Saudi Arabia’s flag carrier, Saudia. Established in 2017, the airline initially focused on domestic routes within Saudi Arabia.

The entry of this airline, alongside the existing operations of Saudi Arabian Airlines, will further strengthen air travel options between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Pakistan remains a growing market for Saudi airlines. In 2024, 5.9 million passengers traveled between the two countries, and total seat capacity continues to rise year-on-year.
