Webdesk: The next smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy A17, will probably have the same Exynos processor as the Galaxy A16.
It is, however, anticipated to come in with a few major changes, particularly imbued in its longevity, dimension and camera efficiency.
Although there are speculations of its launch in October, Samsung has reportedly not yet announced anything at all.
During its latest earnings call, Samsung also announced that it has quite a number of new products that are set to be released later this year, in the second half.
The Galaxy A17, the successor to the Galaxy A16, is one of them and is characterised by a lower price.
Despite the Galaxy A17 being likely to rely on the same Exynos chipset as the previous model. It has acquired certain observable improvements as seen in a recent leakage reviewed by Android Headlines.
The A17 will also purportedly be thinner and lighter, 7.5 mm thin and 192 grams, as compared to the A16 with its 7.9 mm thickness and 200 grams of weight.
A better durability is also achieved. The A17 is reported to have a Gorilla Glass Victus-covered display and the back panel made of Glass Fibre Reinforced Polymer that provides a superior level of protection in comparison to the Galaxy A16.
The new Samsung Galaxy A17 5G is turning out to be a good update of its predecessor, the Galaxy A16 5G.
Although the camera arrangement is quite similar in detail. The one significant enhancement is that the 50 MP main sensor now has Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). This is meant to bring out better pictures and enhanced video stability.
Other flagship specs will be the same. It may be kept with the 5,000 mAh battery and IP54 dust and waterproof rating. It will have a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display at a 90Hz refresh rate, similar to the Galaxy A16.

Another new thing worth mentioning is the inclusion of the Gemini AI of Google, which is directly paired using the power button.
The phone will also have AI-enhanced features such as Circle to Search and Cross app AI behaviours.
It should be mentioned that Samsung has not cleared up these details yet. It is a likely possibility that the Galaxy A17 5G will hit the market in October. Around the same time that the A16 5G was released last year.
Nevertheless, it may not be available globally immediately, such as in the US. Since the same has occurred with other releases within the A-series.
