Sajid Hasan Defends His Son Calling Drug Charges ‘False’

Renowned actor Sajid Hasan has come to the defence of his son, Sajid Hasan, calling the drug charges filed against him as false and an attempt to divert attention from Mustafa Amir’s murder case.

Sajid Hasan has alleged that the police’s case against is “baseless and fabricated.” He has also denied that any recovery of drugs from Sahir during the police raid.

According to Sajid, the police undertook an illegal action by arresting his son without an arrest warrant while no evidence was found from him.

It merits a mention the police arrested four people including actor Sajid Hasan’s son, Sahir Hasan, on drug charges on February 22.

It should also be highlighted that Sahir Hasan during police interrogation revealed that students obtain drugs through mobile applications.

Sahir was arrested during an ongoing investigation into the Mustafa Amir kidnapping and murder case. Sahir was allegedly in possession of 500 grams of narcotics during his arrest. He has denied directly supplying drugs to universities and colleges.

Sahir Hasan has also denied his involvement in Mustafa Amir’s murder, saying: “I am completely innocent of that [murder case]. I have nothing to do with Armaghan case.”

Mustafa Amir’s murder case has uncovered a major narcotics operation thriving in the elite areas of Karachi which supply drugs to youth.

Sajid Hasan while defending his son’s innocence stated that he has complete faith in the judicial system for getting justice. He further demanded for a transparent and impartial investigation into the case saying that his son should not be made a scapegoat.

Mustafa Amir was kidnapped and killed by his friends Armaghan and Shiraz on January 6. Amir was physically assaulted, kidnapped and later burned alive by the prime suspects.
