Saiful Muluk Lake in Kaghan Valley is drawing tourists and adventure enthusiasts this Eid-ul-Fitr.
Known for its fairytale-like beauty, the lake is surrounded by the snow-capped Malika Parbat mountains. Located at 3,224 meters above sea level, the lake spans 1.06 square miles and has crystal-clear waters.
The journey to Saiful Muluk from Pakistan’s plains is rewarded with stunning views. The lake is famous for its legends and offers a peaceful escape from city life.
Abu Zafar Sadiq, President of the Alpine Club of Pakistan, said that social media can help boost tourism, highlighting the economic potential of places like Saiful Muluk.
However, he noted that natural disasters and security challenges have held back the country’s tourism growth. In 2019, tourism contributed $15 billion to Pakistan’s economy, but this has dropped since due to the COVID-19 pandemic and other issues.
