WEBDESK: Indian journalist and well-known news anchor Ravish Kumar, known for his neutral reporting style, has strongly criticised India’s mainstream media, often referred to as “Godi Media”, for promoting tensions between Pakistan and India.
In his recent remarks, Kumar questioned why the same media that once fuelled hostility around the clock is now nowhere to be seen.
He said that under the instructions of the Modi government, the Godi Media continuously spread hatred against Pakistan.
However, after India faced embarrassment in recent events, the same media outlets have gone silent and are no longer promoting the same narrative.
Ravish Kumar further said that due to the biased and false propaganda pushed by the Indian media, it is now facing criticism at the global level.
He pointed out that the Modi-led government used the Godi Media to tell imaginary stories of capturing Lahore and Karachi, which never had any connection with reality.
He added that the political propaganda of the Modi government also resulted in failure for the Indian Air Force, which suffered because Prime Minister Narendra Modi lacks a proper understanding of modern warfare and military strategy.
Kumar said it is the Indian army that is facing the consequences of this political narrative.
Ravish Kumar also claimed that the Pakistan Air Force holds clear superiority over the Indian Air Force.
He said the Godi Media, which was boasting about raising flags in Lahore, has been silent since May 10 because the Indian forces fell far behind in comparison to Pakistan’s domain operations.
The global image of Indian media has taken a serious hit due to its increasing reliance on fake news and misinformation.
Indian media has done a better job of discrediting itself than its critics ever could.
According to Arab Times Online, journalism standards in India have declined sharply amid growing nationalism and a widespread lack of trust.
According to reports, Indian media houses failed to provide proper coverage to the people during times of increased India-Pakistan tensions as they used to report false statements claiming military success, in most cases, edited substances, and even video games to back up their story.
