Rains expected in these Punjab districts tomorrow

Punjab Disaster Management Authority on Monday issued an alert of rainfall and rising temperatures in Punjab districts.

According to details, Punjab’s different districts may experience heavy thunderstorms and rains beginning from April 8 till April 11.

While many districts will also see rising temperatures and dusty winds. as summer approaches. PDMA has forecasted that temperatures are expected to increase by 4 to 7 degrees this month.

PDMA spokesperson, on Monday, revealed that rain with strong winds is predicted in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galiat, Attock, Chakwal, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Jhelum, and Gujranwala.

Furthermore, there are chances of wind and rain in Lahore, Kasur, Sialkot, Narowal, Okara, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Khushab, Sargodha and Mianwali.

Additionally, the Punjab Disaster Management Authority has issued a warning to the citizens about rising temperatures across Punjab.

It further advised the general public to avoid going outside or working during afternoon or peak hours.

Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif instructed the districts’ administration to full prepare following the increasingly hot weather.

DG PDMA Irfan Ali Kathia said, “An alert has been issued to the school education, health department, irrigation, construction and communication, local government and livestock.”

“An alert has also been issued to the information department, WASA, Punjab Police and Civil Defense in view of the weather situation.”

The official further issued a warning, “Citizens should stay in safe places to protect themselves from lightning. The public should never go out under the open sky during thunderstorms and storms.”

In an emergency, the people are advised to contact the PDMA helpline 1129.
