Rahul Gandhi slams Modi’s foreign policy over Lack of international support

Webdesk: India’s Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi has strongly criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s foreign policy, saying that after “Operation Sindoor,” India is facing global isolation. He said the military operation has increased regional tensions and brought serious diplomatic challenges for India on the international stage.

Speaking to journalists, Rahul Gandhi said that all of Modi’s “personal diplomacy” efforts have failed. As soon as the crisis began, none of India’s close allies, including the US, UK, France, Russia, or the European Union, openly supported India, exposing the true state of its foreign policy.

According to an Azaad Research report, years of photo ops, overseas rallies, and slogans like ‘Vishwaguru’ (world leader) proved meaningless when India actually needed support. Speaking in Parliament, Rahul Gandhi added that ‘those countries once seen as close friends are now acting cautiously or staying neutral.’

The report states that India suffered a major diplomatic blow when the US took credit for easing tensions between India and Pakistan, a move many analysts believe undermines India’s position as a strong regional power.

Even smaller neighbouring countries stayed silent or distant, the report says, signalling that Modi’s aggressive and image-driven foreign policy has failed to build genuine trust. Witnesses point out that India has lost its diplomatic goodwill and is now standing alone at a crucial time.

According to diplomatic circles, “Operation Sindoor” was not just a revelation of the weaknesses of military force but a foreign policy grounded on optics.

The criticism by Rahul Gandhi is part of an ongoing political argument against the international policy of Modi, particularly one that relies on personal connections with world leaders and theatrics.

The lack of unconditional support from any major country during this crisis shows that this approach has backfired.

As a result of “Operation Sindoor,” India now faces fresh challenges not just militarily, but also diplomatically. The opposition is demanding accountability from the government.
