“Which planet is the foreign minister sitting on?” Rahul Gandhi ridicules Indian foreign policy

Rahul Gandhi

Indian National Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, during his address in the Indian parliament, strongly criticised the country’s failed foreign policy.

“Which planet is the foreign minister of India sitting on? Please come down! You are running around the world telling everyone that Pakistan is doing terrorism. Meanwhile CENTCOM Commander Gen Kurilla is participating a press conference with Pakistan on counter-terrorism,” Gandhi said.

“There is a new word: New normal. EAM used it. In his speech he said all nations have condemned terrorism but he did not say that not a single country has condemned Pakistan. Everybody has condemned terrorism. Earlier in the UPA govt, countries used to condemn Pakistan,” Rahul Gandhi said in Lok Sabha during Operation Sindoor.

“Govt says any act of terror is an act of war. This means any terrorist just needs 1 attack to create a war for India, he added

Rahul Gandhi, in his strong words, condemned the Prime Minister of India for lying to the public, saying, “Donald Trump has said 29 times that he got the ceasefire. If Trump is lying, PM Modi should openly say he is a liar. Come here and say it in the parliament that Trump is lying.”

Furthermore, Gandhi stated that it was Modi government’s lack of political will that resulted in the lost of Indian military aircraft. “You went into Pakistan, and you told our pilots not to attack their air defence. It was bound that the aircraft would be downed. You tied the hands of our pilots. It was your lack of political will that resulted in our losses.”

He added, “In the 21st century, if aircraft are entering the protected airspace of an enemy and not engaging their air defence, then they will be downed. You [Modi government] called the Pakistani government, informing them that you will not strike military targets and then sit back and watch them retaliate.”

Rahul Gandhi stated that it makes not sense that if you attack a country and then expect no retaliation.

Prime Minister Modi addresses Lok Sabha

Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing the parliament accepted that Pakistan was going to launch a “massive attack.”

“On the night of 9th May, the Vice President of America tried to talk to me. He tried for an hour, but I was in a meeting with my army, so I could not pick up his call. Later, I called him back. The Vice President of America told me on the phone that Pakistan is going to launch a big attack.”

Modi further claimed that Pakistan used more than 1,000 missiles in its attack against Bharat.
