WEBDESK: The makers of Race 4 have officially confirmed that only Saif Ali Khan and Sidharth Malhotra are in talks for the next instalment of the popular action-thriller franchise. This announcement puts an end to recent rumours suggesting that other stars had been cast in the film.
In a clear statement, producer Ramesh Taurani of Tips Films said the movie is still in its scripting phase, and no other actors, male or female, have been approached yet.
This update comes after various names like Harshvardhan Rane and Rakul Preet Singh were linked to Race 4. However, the producers have now confirmed that these reports are not true.
If finalised, this film would mark Saif Ali Khan’s return to the Race series after over a decade. He starred in the first two parts, Race (2008) and Race 2 (2013), which were both big hits known for their stylish action and surprising plot twists. Race 3, which came out in 2018 and featured Salman Khan, had a different storyline and received mixed reviews.
Adding Sidharth Malhotra to the cast could bring a fresh energy to Race 4, possibly appealing to a younger audience. Sidharth is currently working on Param Sundari, a romantic comedy with Janhvi Kapoor. Meanwhile, Saif was last seen in the Telugu film Devara: Part 1 and will next appear in Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins on Netflix.
The director for Race 4 has not been announced yet, and no release date has been shared. Fans are hoping the franchise will return to its original style, full of suspense, betrayal, and glamour.
